Men's Discipleship
“We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.”
(Colossians 1:28)
Men's Discipleship meetings are designed to encourage men in the local church for the leadership roles God calls them to. God, in His Word, has ordained the roles for godly leadership (Ephesians 5:22-33; 1 Timothy 3:2, 4-5, 8, 12). The men's ministry is designed to uphold and affirm these principles so men will become humble leaders not just in the church, but also as husbands, fathers, employer/employees, and overall as disciples of Jesus Christ. The priority for training up men so they can fulfill their God-given roles is emphasized and highly valued at FBC. The men diligently seek to apply God's Word to their own personal lives as they are challenged to pursue holiness, humility and godly living.
Meetings are held monthly on Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30 pm at our church facility. Please see the map for directions located on our home page and visit our church calendar for specific dates. The men finished Jay Adam's book Winning the War Within: A Biblical Strategy for Spiritual Warfare, worked their way through Stuart Scott's The Exemplary Husband, finished Alexander Strauch's book titled Paul's Vision for the Deacons: Assisting the Elders with the Care of God's Church and are currently reading various articles located on our church calendar via the link posted to the meeting dates.
